This Intarsia piece is made of all natural woods. It incorporates Walnut, Curly Maple, Lacewood, and several others. It measures 26” x 14” X 3” out from the wall. The hand holding the shillelagh comes out about 3” from the wall, the rest of the piece is about 1” on average. The watch hanging from his waistcoat is a working watch. I am very much interested in not only using natural woods, whenever possible, but I also aim for a lot of dimension in these pieces.
The idea for this piece came from a small drawing which I found in a catalog, which I have rendered in wood.
I have made several of these, so if this one sells out of current stock, one can be ordered.
